Welcome to the Church of Scientology, British Columbia
Scientology founder Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, stated:
We respect man and believe he is worthy of help. We respect you and believe you, too, can help.
Do you ever get tired of the scandal, death and destruction that dominates the news? Do you wish you could DO something about it? Something that would truly HELP?
Something CAN be done about it is the motto of 15,000 Scientology Volunteer Ministers who desired to help and found out how. You, too, can make a difference.
When Lorraine Baritz, Scientologist of Boston was called to the hospital by friends whose 13-year-old son was on life-support and in a coma four days after a severe motorcycle accident, she knew exactly what she needed to do to help.
The doctors had done all they could, the boys anxious parents could only wait, wondering if he would ever wake up.
But Lorraine, Scientology Volunteer Minister, knew the boy needed not just medical help, but spiritual aidso she went into action. At 10 p.m. she administered the first of several Scientology procedures called assists. By midnight, the boy was already resting more easily. By morning, he opened his eyes, awakening from his coma and began to breathe without life support. Just two days later, he left intensive care.
News of the recovery traveled rapidly through the hospital, reaching others standing vigil by their own children. A couple with an infant son in a coma asked her for help. And again Lorraine answered the call.
The outcome as reported in the local Peoples Voice of Boston newspaper:
When Church of Scientology volunteer minister Lorraine Baritz used her spiritual training to revive a 13-year-old motorcycle accident victim from a coma in a Boston hospital recently, it was considered a miracle." The article went on to sayh when she revived a baby from a coma a few days later, it was obvious that there is a workable way to save many lives.
Success in helping people is routine for Lorraine Baritz: I know something effective can be done about the pain and suffering in peoples lives, she says. As a Scientology Volunteer Minister, I know I have the ability to help anyone, no matter how hopeless the situation may seem.
Stories like these are commonplace, anything but common in a world where people have been searching for answers on how to provide last and real help to others.
Individual Scientology Volunteer Ministers come from all walks of life, and work to help friends, family and strangers in many situations and circumstances: questions or problems in relationships, anxiety, tutoring a child in his or her learning skills, teenage stress, self-esteem, helping a family member overcome drug or alcohol dependency, guiding a criminally inclined adolescent back on the road of self-respect and honesty, resolving a dispute at work or at home, helping a friend or associate better organize his life or handle signs of stress.
You, too, can discover how to help.
